Genome Contamination Check with Blobtools

This is a check for contamination in the genome assembly using Blobtools (4.8.2) and MegaBLAST (2.2.30+) on the H. glycines V1 genome. The single large Nematoda scaffold that does not cluster with all other scaffolds represents a misassembly of the mitochondrial scaffold to ~10x the expected size. This was changed in the genome publication to represent the correct size of 23,027bp. All scaffolds annotated as anything but Nematoda and no-hit were manually investigated, revealing at least one secondary Nematoda BLAST annotation. Thus endosymbionts nor contamination was found in the H. glycines V1 genome assembly.
