My group works at the interface between genetics and bioinformatics translating big data into informative data for interesting biological questions. In the last year and a half we have been creating genomic resources for Seriola dorsalis and Seriola rivoliana. The ultimate goal is to advance sustainable aquaculture by using high throughput sequencing technology and biology applied to problems in aquaculture.
